Florida Adventures and Rentals provides professional marine logistics, production support, and on-water coordination for television productions, documentaries, advertising campaigns, and media projects filming throughout Southwest Florida and the Ten Thousand Islands.
Over the years, our team has supported a wide range of film crews, photographers, and production companies working with major networks and media outlets including Discovery Channel, BBC, HBO, Travel Channel, CBS, and NBC, as well as advertising agencies producing content for tourism boards such as Collier County Growth and Development, Visit Florida, and regional resorts.
From natural history documentaries to broadcast television segments and commercial productions, our local knowledge and marine capabilities allow production teams to safely and efficiently access some of the most remote and visually stunning waterways in Southwest Florida.
Filming in Southwest Florida requires an understanding of tides, weather patterns, wildlife behavior, and the unique geography of the Ten Thousand Islands and surrounding waters. Our captains and guides have years of experience navigating these environments and assisting production teams in finding the best locations for filming.
Whether you need access to remote shelling beaches, mangrove tunnels, open Gulf waters, or wildlife-rich estuaries, our team can help coordinate logistics, transportation, and on-water operations.
Our team is led by experienced, U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains who are highly familiar with operating in professional production environments. They understand the importance of safety, timing, and flexibility during filming, and work closely with production crews to ensure smooth operations on the water while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Our vessels feature large open deck layouts that provide ample room for film crews, camera operators, and production equipment. This space allows crews to safely transport gear, set up cameras, and move freely while filming, making our boats ideal platforms for both transportation and active on-water production work.
With years of experience navigating the waterways of Southwest Florida and the Ten Thousand Islands, our team provides invaluable local knowledge to production crews. From understanding tides and weather conditions to identifying remote filming locations and wildlife habitats, we help productions access the best locations efficiently and safely.
Our fleet includes three U.S. Coast Guard inspected vessels, each certified to safely carry up to 17 passengers. These boats provide large open deck space that makes them ideal for transporting production crews, camera equipment, lighting gear, and support staff.
Because our vessels are commercially inspected and maintained to the highest safety standards, production teams can focus on capturing the perfect shot while knowing that safety and compliance are fully covered.
In addition to our production vessels, we offer a wide range of watercraft that allow film crews to capture unique perspectives and reach areas inaccessible to larger boats.
Our equipment includes:
Production support vessels with large open deck space
Kayaks for shallow-water and mangrove filming
Paddleboards for quiet wildlife approaches and camera platforms
Jet skis for mobile camera work and chase footage
This combination of vessels and equipment allows crews to film everything from fast-moving action sequences to delicate wildlife scenes in remote mangrove estuaries.

Our team assisted the production crew by providing safe and efficient on-water access for capturing drone footage across the coastal ecosystems and waterways of Southwest Florida. Using our vessels as mobile launch platforms, the crew was able to position drone operators in optimal locations to capture aerial shots of the region’s unique landscapes, barrier islands, and mangrove estuaries.
In addition to supporting aerial filming from the water, we also helped coordinate land-based filming of local wildlife, including the iconic Burrowing Owl that inhabit the region. Our local knowledge of the area helped the production team identify suitable filming locations and access points while ensuring operations were conducted safely and efficiently.
By combining marine transportation, local environmental knowledge, and logistical coordination, Florida Adventures and Rentals helped the production crew capture stunning footage that highlights the natural beauty and wildlife of Southwest Florida as part of this major national television series.
