What to Expect
On our Kice Island Shelling Tours we depart from Caxambas Marina on the south end of Marco Island. Depending on your preference and group size we have many different tour options to accommodate your party. Marco Island sits atop the 10,000 Islands. With so many amazing beaches just south of us, only accessible by boat, these islands are littered with amazing shells. Our guides have incredible understandings of tides, currents, weather patterns and prevalence of different species of shells to help you find the treasures you are searching for. Whether it’s your first time combing the beach or you are an avid collector, we know where to find the best shells this area is known for.
Sand dollars, Florida Cones, Murex, Horse Conch, Lighting Whelks, Junonias, Tulips, Olives and so many more are extremely popular finds on shelling tours. We provide complementary shelling bags on all of our tours! If you’re interested in shelling on your own, we offer kayak rentals and you can explore on your own. Check out our rentals here.
Our boats are very kid friendly, with comfortable seating and a ladder for easy boarding. A cooler filled with ice, for your drinks and snacks, is complimentary on all of our boats. Safety is our #1 concern, thats why we offer a handheld VHF radio for your group to communicate with the captain while your on the beach.
***Live Shelling is not allowed on any of our trips***
