Since 2015, Florida Adventures and Rentals has been offering Eco Tours, Fishing Charters and Rentals. The project started in 2012 when Chris Reilly and his wife Sole Reilly initiated the research to establish a water sports company on Marco Island that could accommodate the needs of all tourists and local residents on the water. Meanwhile they were both working for local companies in the hospitality industry, which gave them years of experience in customer service.
Chris’s passion for the water and his constant thrive to succeed made Florida Adventures and Rentals a reality. He soon obtained his Master Diver Certificate, Master Captains License, CPR and First Aid and he has been continuously improving his resume since. Sole’s major in Industrial Design brought the creative ideas to life along with Chris’s dream job.
The same year that Florida Adventures and Rentals was born they found out they were expecting their first daughter, Mia, since then the family and the company has been growing to gain the reputation it has today, and being the only company on Marco Island that offers the best array of options and activities on the water.
Florida Adventures and Rentals captains and guides are customer service oriented, safety trained and professional. All captains go through a rigorous application process, random drug and alcohol testing.
Our captains are employed by Florida Adventures and Rentals, not subcontracted, they are experienced and reliable. This means that we are able to spend valuable time training them on how to provide a great experience for every guest. What does this mean for you? We will tailor your tour or rental to your needs, and make sure you have a memorable experience and and on top of everything have fun.
Captain Chris Reilly is very passionate about this area and truly loves the water and all the activities that can be developed in South West Florida. With 20 years of experience, Chris has explored the water from boating, fishing, water skiing, scuba diving and jet skiing. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut and then raised in North Salem, New York, on Peach Lake. Growing up in upstate NY on the lake was the perfect environment for Chris. He learned to swim at 3 years old and spent most of his time on or in that lake when he wasn’t in school.
From the age of 3 he went camping often with his family in Maine. He hiked and biked and spent hours on the rugged beaches. He learned to love nature and be outdoors. He also was a avid skier/snowboarder. From the early 90’s, during holidays and summers he vacationed on Marco Island with his grandparents. He spent his days with his grandfather fishing and navigating the back waters around Marco. He listened and learned secrets from the old men that fished off Marco daily. His love for the water quickly developed into a love of everything saltwater. Chris relocated to the island he knew and loved as a kid. He quickly settled in and met the love of his life, Sole. They worked hard together and become a family. Chris was waiting tables and loved the people but, he needed more. Eventually his love of saltwater and nature propelled him towards creating his “perfect job”- Florida Adventures and Rentals.
